ÄON – About the Album
Harvested from quiet moments, unfolding a series of colourful windows flowing into one another. With short phrases or single notes shifting the emotional landscape, yet together they form a unified piano composition.
At the beginning there was nothing — at least no ambitions or a goal to create a new project. It all came to life, fruited from quiet moments while longing to deviate from the weight of time. Ironically, with time passing, there was ÄON. This project emerged before my transition into the adventurous world of electroacoustic music and toward the end of the period in which I composed purely for acoustic instruments. Even after these years, this piano composition hasn’t aged for me, while longing to be published one day.

Short Bio
Alireza Toghiyani is an Iranian composer and performer based in Vienna. His music emerges from experimental engagement with acoustic instruments, uncovering their hidden sonic potentials. Toghiyani explores the poetic quality of sound through improvisations and compositions. Grounded in acoustic exploration, his practice also extends into electroacoustic music, oscillating between intuitive play and refined composition. From this foundation — built on composition studies in Vienna and a withdrawal from the world of academia, as well as his latest venture into electronic music — his practice expands into interdisciplinary formats that explore the space between intimacy and resonance, structure and fragility.
